This poster was based on the wax wrapper from the 1962 children’s trading card series “Mars Attacks” that was banned almost immediately for its “gore and sexuality”. It featured such card titles as “Crushed To Death”, “Beast And The Beauty, and “Destroying A Dog”. It since has been re-issued three times and made into a feature film directed by Tim Burton.
